In 2014, the world held its breath as the most widespread outbreak of Ebola virus disease tore through West Africa and then showed up in parts of Europe and North America. That’s when The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation launched #TackleEbola to fight the spread of the disease.
Duet helped mobilize grassroots, corporate, and political support by writing PSAs and bylines calling for swift, collective action. Our materials circulated through news and social media channels, re-framing the crisis as everyone’s problem and kick-starting conversations about near- and long-term solutions.
Today, Ebola still poses a threat; but the global state of readiness has improved with better infrastructure, logistics, and information sharing.
