Habitat for Humanity helps people in need with decent and affordable places to live. Yet despite all the care and effort that goes into building new homes, the task of creating supportive communities remains largely unstructured. Habitat Connects aims to change that by engaging residents in projects that improve nearby green and public spaces.
Duet chronicled how the program offers neighbors new ways to enhance communal property and build individual skills. Going deeper, we captured how residents of all ages gain a shared sense of belonging and pride. These stories not only generated interest throughout Habitat for Humanity, they helped secure sponsors to support and expand the program.
